Next in production line of the Letter Series was the Chrysler 300G. Production of this car began in 1961. The Chrysler 300G was the last three hundred to wear Virgil Exner's fins. There was major differences from the previous year's model. The quad headlights were arranged in angled fashion instead of side-by-side. Small parking lamps below the headlights were slanted and V-shaped likewise old 300 series. 300G engines were the same 413 cu in (6.8L) with 375 HP and 400 HP. Engines were the same but french manual transsmis was replaced with own Chrysler manual transmissionion. Cars fitted with this transmission are among the most rare and desirable of all the letter series cars with only 14 built and an estimated five known currently.
